Solo travel is on the rise, with more and more people – especially women – choosing to broaden their horizons without having to compromise for others. Making up 70% of all solo travellers, women prioritise safety when it comes to choosing their destinations.

Thanks to a unique blend of modernity, safety and cultural richness, Dubai is the perfect destination for women to explore and experience with ease and confidence.

Famously known for the Burj Khalifa, white sandy dunes and grand displays of luxury, this city has more to offer than meets the eye. Recently dubbed the safest city in the world, Dubai spares no expense at ensuring the safety of travellers and tourists, with women being prioritised.

In fact, 83% of women feel safe walking alone at night in Dubai. This may be attributed toward to the city’s extensive surveillance networks that continually monitor public spaces, which is especially reassuring at night.

Dubai is a city that never sleeps, with establishments closing late in the evening, allowing for night tours of the city, late night restaurant dining and shopping at various boutiques and malls. This set up is perfect for solo travellers who love to explore the city at a leisurely pace.

Hotels and other accommodations are no different, following strict security guidelines including keycard only access to rooms and professional security personnel.  Public transportation to and from various tourist sites and destinations also cater to women travellers.

Hopping from one location to the next is easy with cabs and metros allocated for women only. This adds an extra layer of safety and comfort when travelling solo or commuting across the city at night.

The city offers a perfect blend of modernity and traditional culture.

The most popular attractions among tourists include the Dubai Magic Garden, that showcases breath-taking flora and nearly 50 species of butterflies. The Burj Khalifa, where visitors can go to the observation deck and experience a utopian view of the city. And the various man-made islands and beachfronts.
