You can try out the Manley Flats Community Trails, for walking, trail running and cycling. They are open every day throughout the year. Day fees are R30 per person (R15 for children) and an annual fee with unlimited use is R100 per person. The historical village of Sidbury has two beautiful churches and a number of war graves that bear tribute to what was once war-torn fields. St Philip’s Church in Makhanda has a sculpture of the black Madonna while Riebeek East’s Nederduitse Gereformeerde Kerk (Dutch Reform Church) has the largest church clock in the Eastern Cape.
