First off, a big thank you again to all the wonderful companies that are participating in the Good Life Show – South Africa’s biggest annual and most important event that focuses on plant-based, natural, organic, free-from foods and beverages, and on conscious and sustainable living. We’re delighted to advise that we are partnering with Ladles of Love and we will donate R10 for every ticket sold to the NPO.
Created out of a single act of kindness in 2014 when restaurateur, Danny Diliberto, served a warm plate of food to a homeless man, Ladles of Love then set up a soup kitchen before being established as a formal non-profit public benefit organization in the food sector. In the last four years, Ladles of Love has expanded and now has warehouses in Cape Town and Gauteng, and a satellite set-up in Northern Cape. Its overriding mission is to provide nutritious and wholesome food to people in need; to support farmers grow natural wholesome food in an economical and sustainable way; to empower food entrepreneurs to grow businesses, create jobs and contribute to our economy; and overall to help people thrive physically, emotionally, and sustainably.
Ladles of Love is featuring an exciting and creative installation at the Good Life Show to illustrate its ‘Feed the Soil’ initiative. We are looking for partners to collaborate on this installation which will be at the show’s main entrance – the first area show visitors will see when they arrive. Not only visitors but also influencers, bloggers and the media will be sure to photograph and film this wow-factor feature area. The inspiring installation will depict innovative ways of farming and will be eye-catching in its message of “doing good, for good”. We are calling for co-ops for solutions to food security and food relief and all participants and donors will have their branding and feel good message boldly displayed within the installation.
In order to bring the Ladles of Love ‘Feed the Soil’ eco-system concept to life, we are inviting companies and brands to collaborate on the design for – and thought – behind this installation in the bid to illustrate how, collectively, we can help address food security using social innovation.
The aim is to shift the narrative from ‘it’s not my problem’ to ‘I take responsibility knowing that every conscious-minded action I take will create a better world for everyone’.
The Good Life Show’s desired outcome is that both visitors and exhibitors become more mindful of their actions and conscious of their thoughts, knowing that together we can all make a positive difference.
Thank you in advance for your help.
