Edunova and Kway SkyRun Forge Partnership to Empower Underprivileged Communities

Edunova, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to transforming underprivileged communities through education, is proud to announce a strategic 3-year partnership with the Kway SkyRun, South Africa’s original mountain running race. This collaboration marks a significant step towards harnessing the power of sports to drive positive change in society.

The partnership between Edunova and the Kway SkyRun is built on a shared commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most. Through this collaboration, the Kway SkyRun will have the opportunity to align its renowned brand with Edunova’s longstanding reputation for impactful work in the underserved education sector.

Adrian Saffy, spokesperson for the Kway SkyRun, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Edunova in this meaningful endeavour. Over the year’s we have been able to donate more than R600 000 to Edunova to help them continue their amazing work. By leveraging our platform and resources, we aim to support Edunova’s mission of empowering underprivileged communities through education.”

John Thole, spokesperson for Edunova, echoed Saffy’s sentiments, emphasizing the potential of the partnership to drive positive change. “This continued collaboration with the Kway SkyRun presents an incredible opportunity to raise awareness and funds for educational projects that will directly benefit underprivileged schools,” said Thole.

As part of the partnership agreement, Kway SkyRun have allocated 20 complimentary entries to Edunova for the race, allowing the organization to market and sell these entries as a means of fundraising. A minimum of 80% of the funds raised will be allocated directly to the Farm School at Wartrail, in conjunction with the Wartrail Country Club, to enhance educational opportunities for the children in the region.

To date Edunova have directly impacted 71 628 learners at 1073 schools, with their key focus being on Information and Communication Technology in schools situated in disadvantaged communities in South Africa.
