Leading this transformative venture is Mercia Horn, the newly appointed General Manager of Canopy by Hilton Cape Town Longkloof. With over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, Mercia brings exceptional expertise and a deep-rooted passion for delivering world-class guest experiences. As a native of Cape Town, she is uniquely positioned to infuse local culture and spirit into every facet of the hotel’s operations. 

Mercia’s remarkable journey in the hospitality industry began humbly as a weekend waitress in Mitchell’s Plain. Through perseverance and dedication, she has risen to become a respected leader in the field. Her career is marked by significant achievements, including key roles in renowned hotels and the successful opening of multiple properties. This marks her second appointment as General Manager, highlighting her ability to inspire teams, achieve operational excellence and create memorable guest experiences.
