“The MTPA will use this show as a platform to showcase the best of Mpumalanga in terms of conferencing, events and tourism offerings available in the province. The purpose of Mpumalanga taking part in this is to meet with key industry stakeholders and enhance our presence within the German market”, said Mduduzi Vilakazi, Acting CEO of the MTPA.

“Germany is one of Mpumalanga’s key tourist markets. As a province we want to enhance our marketing efforts in this market through such shows as the IMEX as well as through the City-to-City tour to Germany which forms part of our future plans. These initiatives will see Mpumalanga Province taking some of the local tour operators with the intention to promote the destination”, added Vilakazi

South Africa will have a representation of different tourism businesses hosted by the South African National Convention Bureau. This platform will reaffirm our country’s credibility and commitment to growing business events.

The Mpumalanga delegation will be led by the Premier of Mpumalanga accompanied by MECs for Finance, Economic Development and Tourism as well as Agriculture, Rural Development, Land and Environmental Affairs. The delegation includes Heads of Departments, CEOs and government officials.
