Cape Town’s wine regions are celebrating after six local estates earned places in the 2025 World’s Best Vineyards awards. Two Cape vineyards secured Top 10 global rankings, while four more featured in the Top 100, reinforcing the Cape’s standing as one of the world’s premier wine destinations.
Enver Duminy, CEO of Cape Town Tourism, says the recognition showcases the strength of the region’s wine tourism offering. “The Cape delivers more than excellent wine. We offer experiences rooted in heritage, innovation and a deep sense of place.”

The awards are determined by the World’s 50 Best Vineyards Academy, a panel of more than 700 experts in wine, travel and hospitality.
Klein Constantia leads the local celebrations. The historic estate, founded in 1685, was named Best Vineyard in Africa and rose 35 places to claim No. 6 globally.
“Klein Constantia’s ranking reflects our team’s commitment to quality and the guest experience,” says CEO Pascal Asin. “We are proud to represent the Constantia Wine Valley on the world stage.”
Creation Wines in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley followed closely at No. 7, strengthening the Cape’s presence in the global Top 10.

James Vos, Cape Town’s Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth, says the recognition reflects the region’s strong tourism and investment appeal. “Our vineyards offer grape-to-glass experiences shaped by terroir, sustainability and dedicated craftsmanship. These awards reinforce that our estates are among the finest places in the world to sip and stay.”
